Farm Specialties: Trees, Vines, Cattle, Sheep, Pigs
Bio: I am a Certified Environmental Practitioner and earth system scientist working with e3Scientific Ltd. We provide environmental science advice and resource management solutions across the South Island.
My personal belief is that farm planning and freshwater management are two sides of the same blade of grass. As such, freshwater farm plans developed in partnership with e3Scientific will be guided towards hauora mō te taiao / the essential wellbeing of the environment. This principle encompasses all values on farm (environmental, cultural, social, and economic) and is a practical framework for managing risk. The plans will also take a catchment wide view, considering the inherent vulnerabilities of the land, local perspectives, and freshwater values.
At e3Scientific we have firsthand experience with various farm systems, catchment scale mapping projects, and freshwater ecosystem assessments but more than this – we have the inhouse, technical expertise to carry out multi-disciplinary, science-based assessments to inform monitoring programmes and mitigation practices or design practical, innovative solutions. We pride ourselves in the development and provision of clearly communicated plans so that proposed actions are readily adopted, achievable, and enduring.
